I just can’t!

Okay so here’s the deal, I thought I could live without scripts, but I can’t.  Oh the shame.  I began my illustrious blogging career with Blogger and I used that platform for three years before I decided enough was enough.  Blogger is good, don’t get me wrong, I just needed something more, hence my change to wordpress.  WordPress is an all inclusive program, it does nearly everything for you, and has functions Blogger doesn’t, such as the ability to password protect posts.  Unfortunately, WordPress.com is not customizable beyond their awesome widget system.  I need customizable features, I have to have them, it’s shallow, I know.

So, in an endeavor to find that customizability I so crave, I’m going to be making a change in the foreseeable future.  No, I’m NOT going back to Blogger, but I am going somewhere else.  I’ve been turning over the idea of hosting my blog under my own domain name, the one I want is available, and if I purchase server space I can use WordPress.org and get customizability.  Also, if I got my own server space, which is really inexpensive, I could host a photoblog, etc.

The question now is where should I go?  If anyone has any suggestions as to which host I should look into, let me know, I’m really at a loss here.  I’m considering Blue Host, WordPress recommends them.  Another problem for me is I’m just the slightest bit dumb where setting all this up is concerned, so something that’s user friendly would be helpful.

Thanks guys!

Now a days if you by server space they give you some pretty good documentation to get started. I had bought some server space to do what want. Then I said screw that to much work. ;)
